The South Korean automaker, Hyundai, has now officially taken the wraps off its latest Veloster model. Designed as a 2016 model year, the car can now be seen first-hand at the 2015 Chicago Auto Show which is currently taking place in Chicago, US.
This new Veloster model from Hyundai comes with modest tweaks for its exterior design. These exterior tweaks include a dark gray surround for its front grille, a new engine hood and also 17-inch bespoke alloy wheels. Yet, as for the interior, there are not too many changes involved. Nonetheless, the car now comes with black seats and yellow accents in addition to new onboard vehicle infotainment system. The latter includes several features, such as, the automaker’s next generation version of Blue Link telematics, SiriusXM Travel Link, integration of Siri Eyes Free and HD radio.
Yet, if all those are not quite enough just yet, according to the most recent reports, this new generation of the Hyundai Veloster is also coming with a turbo engine as an option. Customers purchasing the Turbo variant will benefit from a dual clutch 7-speed transmission. The benefits do not end there, though. Customers purchasing the Turbo variant will also get 18-inch exclusive alloy wheels that feature a machined finish.
The 2016 Hyundai Veloster Turbo will reportedly be equipped with one very interesting element as well, which is what the company refers to as an enhanced version of its electroluminescent instrument panel. Add that to sporty seats featuring aggressive bolsters and a black headliner and it seems that there is nothing more the 2016 Hyundai Veloster Turbo customers could ask for. There is even an R-Spec variant for the Veloster Turbo. This one should also benefit from seat belts that are painted in the red color.
If everything goes as planned, the 2016 Hyundai Veloster Turbo will go on sale starting from May this year.
