3 people dead after overnight car crash in Milton

Three people are dead after a car crash at Fourth Line and Britannia Road in Milton, Ontario.

Halton Regional Police say the two-vehicle crash occurred around 12:30 a.m. on Saturday.

A sedan travelling southbound crashed with a sport utility vehicle (SUV) heading eastbound. Two inside the SUV died on scene, while the third died in hospital.

A 28-year-old man who was driving the sedan is in hospital though he is not going through life-threatening injuries.

Police have provided no additional details about the three people who died in the vehicle crash pending notification to their families.
