Three people died following a three-vehicle crash on Interstate 94 westbound in Jefferson County around 3:56 a.m. on Wednesday.
A vehicle pulling a cargo trailer was traveling westbound before losing control and striking a guardrail. The crash took place near the 262 mile marker.
A second vehicle then came upon the crash and hit the cargo trailer that was still in the roadway. A semi-truck then struck the cargo trailer and guardrail.
Interstate 94 westbound was shut from Johnson Creek to Lake Mills until just before 11 a.m.
The incident is being investigated by Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office.
