The unidentified caretaker was supposed to drop off the kid, who was later on recognized as Samaria Motyka, at day care in the morning however, instead, went straight to work, leaving the girl, identified by WNEP as Samaria Motyka, in the backseat of the vehicle for the rest of the day.

The Associated Press noted that the lady came out to her automobile at around 3:30 p.m. on Friday, when she found the girl not responding.

Police were contacted to the scene and administered emergency treatment before rushing the kid to Williamsport Regional Medical Center, where she was declared dead on arrival.
