Mazda Shinari “Kodo” Design Concept to be on display at the 2010 Paris Motor Show Preview

by Alex

Shinari from Mazda is not such a unique model in itself but attractive indeed it is. It has similarity in design with the Tesla Model S and the Essence concept from Essence. The car is due for unveiling at the 2010 Paris Motor Show and Mazda have therefore disclosed all the details of the Kodo design that the car is based upon as well as distributed some new photographs too.

Kodo is the futuristic design theme and is the replacement to the previous Nagare concept’s flow theme. Kodo means ‘soul of motion’. The most attractive aspect of the car is the treatment that has been meted out to the car’s front grille with its angular and less smiley design. The front also has the esque headlights from the BMW Gina Light Visionary car. This makes the front end a bit less dopey and rather adds an aggressive essence to the car.

This is the 50th anniversary of the Mazda since its first release of the R360 Coupe. Many a years have passed since the R360 and therefore Mazda feels there has been many changes to the design of their cars all keeping up to the design demands of the times the car represented.

The Paris Motor Show would sure give much more details of the Shinari concept.
