Two dead, one injured after car crashes near Hilliard

Two people were killed and one person was injured when their vehicle crashed following a traffic stop near Hilliard in Ohio on Friday morning.

It was around 2:50 a.m., officials started to investigate the crash at the Certified gas station located at 4546 Cemetery Road. The officials pulled the vehicle over near Park Mill Run Drive.

The officer approached the vehicle and the driver of the SUV fled the scene at a high rate of speed. Police were not chasing the car.  They soon discovered that the vehicle crashed outside Columbus Fire Station 30 on Fishinger Boulevard.

There were three occupants inside the vehicle.

A woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

A man was admitted to The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

Another female was admitted to Riverside Methodist Hospital. Her condition is now stable.

The crash is being investigated by the Columbus Division of Police Accident Investigation Unit and Hilliard Division of Police.
