Attached is the video footage of the Alfa Romeo 4C lapping the Nordschleife in record-breaking time of 8 minutes and 4 seconds.
Alfa confirmed the lap time last week when they stated that the 4C was now the fastest production car around the ‘Ring with output of less than 250 HP. The attempt was achieved by Horst von Saurma in September who managed to complete the lap in the above stated time. The vehicle was fitted with type-approved road Pirelli “AR” P Zero Trofeo tires specifically developed for the 4C.
Just to recap about 4C, it is Alfa Romeo’s latest product which is a two-seater, rear-wheel drive coupe and comes equipped with a 1.75-liter four-cylinder engine outputting 240 HP (177 kW) and having a peak torque of 258 lb-ft (350 Nm). The model will be able to achieve the 0-62 mph (0-100 kmh) run in 4.5 seconds before hitting a top speed of 160 mph (258 kmph).
We can also expect a more focused Stradale version sometime next year which will reportedly have an output of 269 HP (198 kW) and will actually be based on a track-only 4C Racing. The lineup will also encompass a targa version sporting restyled headlamps and a modified cabin.
