Alfa Romeo Launches the Giulietta Business Edition

by David Bond

The Italian automaker, Alfa Romeo, has decided to bring its latest vehicle model, the Business Edition variant of the Giulietta, to the British land. As its name implies, this car is most likely designated for those business executives in existence out there.

For this particular vehicle variant, the Italian company has taken advantage of the Alfa Romeo Giulietta facelift. The latter officially went out of the factory last year and it offered potent customers with extra equipment worth more than £2,000. This extra equipment makes the vehicle stand out of the Distinctive variant targeted to the mid-end market segment. For the said variant, Alfa Romeo offers Bluetooth, DAB, cruise control, rear parking sensors, dual zone climate control and also 16-inch alloy wheels.

All the features mentioned earlier are also available on the Giulietta Business Edition. However, for the latter, customers will also get added features which include electrically folding side mirrors, electric front seats, rearview mirror with auto-dim feature, parking sensors at the front fascia, rain and light sensors and also a Uconnect Infotainment System featuring a 6.5-inch screen.

Yet, by paying £2,500, customers are eligible for premium package. In this case, they will get Bose sound system, twin electric sunroof and bi-Xenon headlamps. But if those are not enough, £210 can get the customers dark tinted windows as well. Brembo brake calipers are available for £500 whereas 18-inch alloy wheels can be availed for £650.

The Alfa Romeo Giulietta Business Edition comes with a 1.6L JTDM-2 turbocharged diesel engine with 105 hp of power output. In addition to that, a higher capacity 2.0L engine will also be available and it will have a total power output of 150 hp. Both these diesel engines will utilize a 6-speed manual transmission. Petrol engines will also be available in 1.4L and 2.0L options, with power outputs reaching 170 and 175 hp, respectively. The petrol engine variants will be a little pricier and they will feature a 6-speed twin dry-clutch Alfa TCT automatic transmission.
