Aston Martin, a car maker from England, has now entered its 6th decade in the automotive industry. For the sake of celebrating its 60th anniversary, Aston Martin Works, a division of the British automaker, has officially announced that there are going to be six special edition vehicles offered. The Vanquish will be the base model for all of these special edition vehicles. Yet, each of them is going to represent the different decades that the company is celebrating.
The Aston Martin Works has already taken the veil off the very first model of the six special edition vehicles. This first model sports a completely white exterior. Fans of the Aston Martin can easily tell that this is a special edition vehicle, thanks to the anniversary side strakes painted in the yellow color and the alloy wheels that receive a two-tone color treatment.
What makes this special edition Vanquish even more unique is its interior treatments. On the interior, the car features contrasting yellow stitches, two-tone seats, special door sills and even specially designed metal rotary knob. The metal used to build this knob comes from Aston Martin engine. A heavy weave themed carbon fiber trim is also said to be available on this special anniversary edition of the Vanquish by the Aston Martin Works.
However, in terms of performance, there is no upgrade from the standard version of the Aston Martin Vanquish. This 60th anniversary edition model retains the 6.0L V12 engine which is capable of delivering 568 hp of power and 630 Nm of total torque. The car utilizes an 8-speed automatic gearbox which helps it reach a top speed of no less than 321 km/h. Going from 0 to 100 km/h takes the car only 3.6 seconds.
