In Australia, the all new Audi A4 Allroad quattro is up for sale, which is targeted at all those off-road enthusiast, giving them a standard experience, this new Audi A4 Allroad is definitely an alternative to the standard SUV, and its also a more affordable version of of its own A6 Allroad.
Here it should be noted that, Audi says that only 150 A4 Allroad wagons will be delivered to Australia, labeling itself as a Limited edition, also assuring that if in any case the initial models sell off at an unexpected rate, maybe they will rope in some more.
The new Audi A4 Allroad is available in only one trim level, and it is priced from $69,900 before on-road costs, making it $9000 more than the 2.0-litre diesel powered front-wheel drive A4 Avant and $7700 more than the equivalent Audi Q5 SUV, and significantly $48,000 less than the third-generation Audi A6 Allroad.
The Engine figures are like this, the all new Audi A4 Allroad is powered by a 2.0-litre TDI(turbo direct injection) diesel engine, which produces 130kW of power (4200rpm) and 380Nm of torque (1750-2500rpm), a seven speed dual clutch automatic transmission send power to all four wheels via Audi’s Quattro system, which helps the Audi to do a 0-100km/h in 8.1 seconds, while it just uses, 6.0l/100kmph.
The difference between the A4 Allroad, from the Standard A4 Avant, is a chrome slatted grille, wheel arches draped in grey plastic, front and rear stainless steel under body protection, silver roof rails, and lastly a 7-spoke 17-in alloy wheel. Other features include, front and rear fog lights, xenon plus headlights with LED daytime running lights and a smart key with keyless entry and start.
The all new Audi A4 sits 37mm higher than the A4 Avant, with a ground clearance of 180mm. The standard boot capacity of the wagon which is 490-litre, has been carried over to the Allroad, expanding that to 1430 liters, when the back seats are folded.
The Interior features, a three-zone climate control, electric front seats with leather upholstery, a sports steering wheel with paddle shifters, cruise control, front and rear parking sensors and a rear-view camera, and floor mats. The Infotainment system flaunts a 10-speaker sound system, seven-inch display screen, hard drive navigation, 20GB music storage, two SD card readers, voice control and Bluetooth phone connectivity with audio streaming.
