Audi A9 to come first in coupe and cabrio versions

In order to offer competition to the Porsche Panamera Turbo , Audi had revealed a few months ago they are up to developing a new model. The Audi model A9 is expected to come in around 2015 and would encompass features of a futuristic design. There would however be the coupe and cabrio versions of the car that would be inducted before that and would sure steal some of the spotlight with their presence.

The A9 is supposed to be having windows that are fully retractable and the cabrio would have soft top. The engine fit would be of a 3.0 liter TFSI engine producing around 300 HP for the base version and a V8 unit with 500 HP for the top end version. Mercedes CL and SL Class would face stiff competition from this A9 model given the stylish exterior and luxurious interior that the maker is going to add to this model.

Starting price of the Audi A9 would be around 80,000 Euros which converts to about $110,000 for the Coupe and Cabrio versions when compared to the Sedan which costs $140,000.

There is going to be many a changes in the auto industry which would affect the final product that forms of the A9 which as mentioned is yet a few years away.
