Did you think that the Skoda 130 RS rally car had come to an end? Well, sorry to say, but you are definitely wrong. As a matter of fact, it has just been reborn. Behold the R200 Non-Fiction which happens to be the modern day version of the aforementioned rally car from Skoda. This new vehicle is seemingly based on the Audi R8.
The R200 Non-Fiction is currently making a stance at an expo held in the DOX Center for Contemporary Art. This facility is situated at Prague, Czech Republic. As it turns out, the design of the vehicle has come from the cold hands of Petr Novak’s, a gifted designer from the Czech Republic. It is believed that Novak has the intention of resurrecting the aforementioned rally car from Skoda. The rally car will have its 40th anniversary this year.
In order to build the vehicle, the people behind the development of the car decide to take the first ever generation of the Audi R8 4.2 FSI V8 as the base of the model. The car took no less than eighteen months to complete. It looks like a somewhat retro supercar that features headlamps which may remind people of Bentley vehicles, along with controversial and attractive visual styling.
Under the hood, the car is blessed with a naturally aspirated 4.2L V8 engine. Mated to a 6-speed manual transmission and an all-wheel-drive (AWD) drivetrain, the engine is well capable of delivering a total power output close to that of the Audi R8, 420 PS, and approximately 430 Nm of torque.
The car is currently a concept yet it is fully functional. Reports out there also mention that the car will enter its production phase beginning from January next year. The producer of the vehicle plans on building 24 examples of the model, each of which will cost no less than 255,000 Euros.
