BMW has recently released some pictures of the X4 concept which is expected to be launched in the upcoming 2013 Shanghai Auto Show.
The concept has been made on the footsteps of the X6 and adopts a dynamic design that combines both, the rugged looks of a BMW X model and the emotional aura and sporting character of a BMW Coupe. The BMW X4 Concept will be showcased as a preview to the upcoming production model that will be built in Spartanburg, South Carolina.
In the photos released, the car has been given exterior paint of Long Beach Blue. In terms of looks, the car features an aggressive front fascia with a prominent kidney grille, large air intakes, LED headlights; on the rear we can observe sculpted hood, curved character lines and plastic body cladding. It also features a dual exhaust system and a distinctive rear bumper with integrated underbody protection.
No details have been revealed by the company with respect to the performance that will be built inside, but the production model is expected to offer a TwinPower Turbo 2.0-liter four-cylinder with output generation capacity of 240 bhp (179 kW) and 260 lb-ft (352 Nm) of torque as well as a TwinPower Turbo 3.0-liter inline-six with output generation capacity of 300 bhp (224 kW) and 300 lb-ft (406 Nm) of torque.
