It is being reported that all 700 units of the “Hardcore” BMW M4 GTS have already been sold out. According to a report by Autovisie stating the same. So if any of you afficonados are looking to get your hands on this car, you may already be out of luck.
The BMW Water Injected M4 GTS is one of the most aesthetically pleasing cars that has been produced by it’s makers and this flash sale of sorts is testament to that. With 300 of the produced 700 units going to the US, the car has come with a substantial price tag of USD $134,200 as part of the Clubsport package. The high price hasn’t deterred any buyers though, evidently.
With its twin-turbo six tuned to 493 hp and 600 Nm (442 lb-ft), which are directed to the rear wheels via a 7-speed M dual-clutch transmission, it can sprint from 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 3.8 seconds and reach a top speed of 305 km/h (190 mph). Plus, the M Division tweaked not just the looks but, more importantly, the chassis to make it a worthy successor to the E46 M3 CSL and E92 M3 GTS that preceded it.
The car’s S35 Twin-turbo six produced about 493 hp (500 PS) at 6250 RPM as well as 442 lb-ft (600 Nm) of torque, peaking between 4000 to 5000 RPM. It can get from 0-100 kmph in a mere 3.8 seconds and has a top speed of 305 kilometers per hour (190 mph).
It is no wonder that this car has so many takers. We’ll keep you updated with any more pictures of this car that we may come up with since it’s going to be really difficult to spy one of the 700. Stay tuned.
