A luxury automaker from US, Cadillac, has officially taken the wraps off its 2016 model year CTS-V. The car has been unveiled during the 2015 Detroit Auto Show event. It is reported that the American company will aim at the likes of the Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG and the BMW M5 with its new luxury flagship sedan model.
The latest generation CTS-V from Cadillac is quite attractive as well as luxurious in terms of appearance. It sports a pair of large air intakes, a mesh front grille and a pair of LED headlamps on its face. Other notable components include a carbon fiber hood that is ventilated, a front splitter, wide fenders, quad exhaust pipes and also aerodynamic side skirts. Yet, for an alternative, buyers can also spend some additional cash to get the Carbon Fiber package. This package will give customers an extra front splitter, rear spoiler, hood vent and a rear diffuser.
Stepping into the cabin of the vehicle, customers will be greeted by the company’s CUE infotainment system, an audio system by Bose, a digital instrument panel, the so-called Performance Data Recorder device, matte carbon fiber trim and either suede microfiber sport seats or semi-aniline leather seats.
In terms of power, the car has a 6.2L supercharged V8 engine hidden under the hood. Paired with an automatic transmission system with 8 speeds, the engine will bring the car from 0 to 100 km/h in no more than 3.7 seconds. Meanwhile, the top speed easily hits the mark of 322 km/h. Perhaps this is all possible thanks to the huge power output of the engine, 640 bhp, and the torque, 855 Nm.
A number of media out there on the web have been reporting that the luxury US automaker will be shipping the 2016 Cadillac CTS-V to dealerships summer this year. Pricings will be announced close to that.
