Controlled rural belief and unpredictability over the diesel vehicle restriction notwithstanding, passenger car sales growth have turned favorable after 3 months of successive decline.
As per the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM), domestic automobiles sales increased by 1.87 per cent in April. Driving the turnaround were noted models like the Maruti Baleno and the Renault Kwid.
SIAM, launching car market sales figures for the month, saw that automobile sales stood at 1,62,566 systems in April, against 1,59,588 devices for the same month in 2014. “For cars, development throughout the last month largely came from brand-new launches like Baleno and Kwid,” SIAM Director General Vishnu Mathur stated, including that the rural demand for vehicles remain to stay subdued.
While development in car sales might continue to be somewhat subdued, the total passenger car sector has actually grown by over 11 per cent in the month year-on-year.
