Chevrolet is General Motors’ largest global brand with annual sales of more than four million vehicles in more than 140 countries, interestingly it is the fourth biggest global car brand in terms of sales and also one of the fastest growing brands in the world. And today we are happy to present it out to you that, the dreams of million fans of Hot Wheels, be it old or young, the enthusiasm will keep them going with the launch of Camaro Hot Wheels Edition coming to dealership early next year, and this is a first time that a full-size production Hot Wheels car has been offered for sale by any manufacturer.
“Millions of us grew up playing with Hot Wheels,” said Chris Perry, vice president of Chevrolet Marketing. “Offering a special production model of the Camaro Hot Wheels is an opportunity to bring those memories to life, for kids of all ages.”
At the 2012 SEMA show held in Las Vegas few weeks back, the Camaro Hot Wheels Edition had debuted, well a special run of the Camaro Hot Wheels Edition will be produced in the first quarter of 2013, and sources say that it will definitely be Limited Edition.
“It’s been nearly 20 years since I started designing cars for Hot Wheels and I have yet to drive one home,” said Felix Holst, vice president of creative for the Mattel Wheels Division. “Personally, I can’t wait to open the doors and see the Hot Wheels Camaro sitting in the garage.”
The looks of the Camaro Hot Wheels Edition echoes the styling cues that have been adopted from the Hot Wheels toy, which includes a vibrant, graphics-accented metallic paint scheme. The result is instantly recognisable as a Hot Wheels. The new Camaro will be available in V8 coupe with automatic and manual transmission, on the exterior the car features a splendid paint job in Kinetic Blue body colour and unique graphics, highlights also inlcude, ZL1 rear spoiler, ZL1 front upper grille, Ground effects package, including front splitter and rocker treatment, Black 20-inch wheels, Two-tone matte hood graphic and rear taillight panel “blackout” graphic, Fender “flame” graphics, Hot Wheels grille and decklid logos.
Whereas inside the new vehicle, the Camaro features a black leather-trimmed interior accented with black seat stitching with the Hot Wheels logo embroidered on the front seats, the instrument panel and door inserts are black, with the Hot Wheels-style flame decal on each door. Hot Wheels Edition sill plates also distinguish the car, along with Camaro-logo premium floor mats with red edging.
The drivetrain figures are, that the Camaro hot wheels edition houses a a 6.2L V8 engine under its hood, which apparently churns out 432 ps (318 kW) and 569 Nm of torque, or an automatic which develops 405 ps (298 kW) and 556 Nm of torque. The latter features fuel-saving Active Fuel Management.
The orders can be done now in the UK with a price of £40,020 for the Coupe Manual and £41,520 for Coupe Automatic.
