The luxury American automaker under General Motors Corp., Cadillac, has finally unveiled its next generation CTS-V luxury sedan. The company shows off its new luxury sedan just before the 2015 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) takes place this January 2015. This vehicle will go head to head with the likes of the Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG and the BMW M5. Judging by the official unveiling video, the car will seemingly sport a more aggressive look than its predecessor.
On its front fascia, the car will have air intakes that are larger than those of its predecessors, to begin with. Then, in addition to that, the car is also going to sport a mesh front grille, a carbon fiber engine hood with ventilations, and also a front splitter. Heading to the rear fascia, this luxury American sedan can be seen wearing a rear spoiler and quad exhaust pipes. Then, around the body, the car also features aerodynamic side skirts and wide fenders. In order to move around, the car counts on a set of Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires wrapping its forged 19-inch aluminum wheels.
Stepping into the cabin, it will be quite similar to its predecessor. However, this time, the car will feature a matte carbon fiber trim, sport seats wrapped in either suede microfiber or semi-aniline leather material. There is also going to be a digital instrument cluster that measures 12.3 inches in total diagonally. For the luxury amenities, the car comes with an audio system from Bose, the CUE infotainment system and even a performance data recorder as well, among many more other stuffs.
Under the hood, the 2016 Cadillac CTS-V luxury sports sedan packs a 6.2L V8 engine. Mated to an 8-speed automatic gearbox, the engine can bring the car from 0 to 100 km/h within only 3.7 seconds. Its speed ends at the 322km/h mark. This is all possible, thanks to the total power output of 640 hp and total torque of 855 Nm delivered by the car’s engine.
The vehicle will be available for order next summer and price will be revealed shortly after its official launch.
