The Italian automaker, Ferrari, is known to be working on some new vehicle models. The company has yet to release any official teasers, let alone fully revealing images, of its upcoming vehicle models. Nevertheless, two prancing horse prototypes have been spotted recently and they seem to be the Ferrari 458 M, one is wrapped in the yellow hue while the other is wrapped in the black hue. Both these prototypes were spotted while undergoing factory evaluations ahead of the opening of the Geneva Motor Show event. That said, there is a probability that the cars will make bow at the said auto expo.
Speaking of the spotted prototypes, the black one is heavily covered in camouflage. As for the yellow one, it seems to depict that the facelifted version of the 458 Italia will sport a new pair of headlamps in addition to a newly designed front bumper. Meanwhile, at the rear end of the car, a dual exhaust layout and an aggressively looking rear diffuser are well visible.
It is reported that the Ferrari 458 M will not only come with visual upgrades. Instead, it will also replace the 4.5L V8 engine used on its predecessor with a 3.8L V8 engine with twin turbochargers. The new engine will spit out approximately 666 bhp and 745 Nm of power and torque, respectively. It is said that Ferrari will improve the dual clutch transmission of the vehicle as well. As a result, the car will be able to go from a complete standstill to the speed of 100 km/h in under 3.4 seconds. As for the top speed that the vehicle will be able to reach, the Italian automaker rates it at the level of 325 km/h. To find out for sure, stay tuned as we wait for the 2015 Geneva Motor Show to kick off.
