Ferrari releases official video of the 599 GTO zooming at the Mugello Circuit

by Ron Grant

Ferrari recently released the official videos of the prancing 599 GTO while at the paddock and while zooming on the track of the Mugello Circuit in the northern portion of Florence, Italy. Dario Benuzzi, the carmaker’s best test driver was behind the wheel.

The Ferrari 599 GTO can blast from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in just 3.35 seconds and can rush easily to its top speed of 335 km/h. The figures can be attributed to the car’s great V12 6.0L engine that struts 661 horsepower and a peak torque of 457 pound-feet. Tipping the scales at 1,500 kilograms also helps a lot with the performance.

Bernuzzi has been with the prancing horse since 1971. He started as a mechanic and has served as a test driver for all the Formula 1 cars and production vehicles of Ferrari since 1976.

The Ferrari 599 GTO has a sticker price starting at €319,495. It will have a limited run of 599 units.
