Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) prepares to revive the Dodge Demon, a muscle car popular in 1970s, with an engine that tosses out a lot more horsepower than the Charger and Challenger Hellcat.
The automaker stated it will unveil the Dodge Challenger Demon SRT at the upcoming New York Automobile Show in April.
Fiat Chrysler’s choice to introduce an ultra-powerful Demon comes at a time when most car manufacturers are discussing self-driving automobiles and electrical automobiles and highlights how automaker, specifically with its Dodge brand, is not scared to offer yelling power.
“Most cars try to be everything. Then there are the rare some of that delight in a single goal, rendering them absolutely tempting to a subculture,” stated Tim Kuniskis, Fiat Chrysler’s head of automobile brand. “The Dodge Challenger SRT Demon is developed, conceived and engineered for a subculture of lovers who understand that a tenth is an automobile and a half 2nd is your credibility.”
However Kuniskis stated the Demon is going to be more powerful than the Hellcat designs, which are powered by a 6.2-liter, V-8 engine that creates 707 horse power.
“This will be the next iteration,” Kuniskis stated cryptically. “It will be the SRT Demon. Every week, a new video will drop leading up to New York, saying here’s exactly what’s brand-new. And after that New York. We will drop the entire vehicle in New York.”
The reaction to the introduction of the Hellcat in 2015 surpassed the automaker’s expectations, requiring it to double production in last year. Presenting a Demon variation of the Challenger might have a comparable effect.
Dodge included a Demon design to its Dodge Dart lineup in 1971.

i hope the picture is from an old file…you should honor the style lines of the original Demon.
That picture is a concept car from 2006 and has NOTHING to do with the 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon…
From 2008, noted in Alt text of the image.
