Tesla Model S is set to get even quicker as Elon Musk has revealed the automobile’s unique “ludicrous mode”, which currently makes it the world’s fastest production vehicle, it ready to get a speed increase.

A brand-new “ludicrous plus” mode will have the ability to blast chauffeurs and passengers from 0-60 miles per hour in simply 2.34 seconds.

The upgrade will make it possible for the Model S P100D to become the world’s 3rd fastest production automobile, behind the LaFerrari and the Porsche 918 Spyder.

“However, both the LaFerrari and the Porsche 918 Spyder were restricted run, million dollar cars and can not be purchased new,” Tesla stated when the record was previously broken.

“While those automobiles are little 2 seaters with little baggage area, the pure electrical, four-wheel drive Tesla Model S P100D has 4 doors, seats approximately 5 adults plus 2 kids and has remarkable cargo capacity.”

The company revealed recently that it will end unlimited free use of its global charging station network.

The company states vehicles bought after January 1, 2017 will receive approximately 1,000 miles worth of credits every year at the supercharging stations.

After credits are utilized, owners will need to pay costs.

Vehicles purchased or sold on or prior to January 1 would still have free charging.

Tesla didn’t define the charges however states charging would cost less than the rate of filling a similar gasoline automobile.

The company states it will launch cost details later on this year. It states costs might vary with time and differ by local electrical power costs.

This suggests that free charging will not apply to the $35,000 Model 3, which is due to go into production in the 2nd half of 2017.

Tesla stated 373,000 individuals put down $1,000 deposits for the Model 3 since May.

Purchasers of brand-new vehicles purchased or sold on or prior to January 1 should take delivery before April 1 in order to have the free charging.
