6 individuals were hospitalized Monday after a person crashed into planter during a test drive and sent out fragments of concrete into a crowd outside the Los Angeles Auto Show, taking place in downtown Los Angeles, cops stated.

An overall of 8 individuals were assessed after the crash outside the Los Angeles Convention Center. 6 individuals, consisting of the driver, were taken to hospitals.

The injuries were referred as non-life-threatening.

The crash happened at 1:13 p.m. during a test drive in the 1200 block of South Figueroa Street.

Eventually, the 24-year-old man drove onto the curb and struck into the concrete pot, stated Sgt. Jack Richter, a spokesperson for Los Angeles Police Department.

The pot shattered, sending out fragments of concrete into individuals standing outside the vehicle show, he stated.

The motorist was perhaps unlicensed, Richter stated.

The Fire Department tweeted a photo of the damaged automobile revealing substantial damage to the hood, engine and windscreen. The small red car obviously was taking part in the program.

The photo reveals a decal on the drive’s side door that checks out, “Drive today! At the auto show.”
