The First Camaro ZL1 Auctioned by Chevrolet

Recently was auctioned off at the Barrett-Jackson the first public offering of Chevrolet’s latest and fastest production Camaro, the 2012 ZL1. This is a Carbon Flash Metallic model, built by the Oshawa, Canada factory, and it was the 69th of its series. 580 horsepower and 558 lb-ft of torque is available from its 6.2 liter supercharged LSA V8. Power adjustable magnetic dampers also make sure that all of that thrust stays in relative order. The final bid for this car was $250,000, and it was purchased by Rick Hendrick, the owner of Hendrick Motorsports and Hendrick Automotive Group.
The car was supplied to Barrett-Jackson by Fairway Chevrolet-Buick-GMC in Las Vegas and 100 percent of the proceeds went to the YMCA of Southern Nevada.
