Five people were killed after a multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 25 in Weld County, Colorado on Monday.
The crash took place when a 2015 Ford Edge, 2013 Ford Focus, and a 2021 Mitsubishi Outlander were in the left lane of northbound I-25 and slowed for traffic close to Highway 66 around 1:30 p.m.
A Kenworth semi-truck was also northbound in the left lane when it hit the Ford Edge, pushing it off the left side of the roadway into the center median.
The Kenworth hit the Ford Focus, pushing the Focus into the Mitsubishi.
The occupants of the Ford Edge were pronounced dead at the scene.
Victims included a 20-year-old male driver, a 20-year-old female, a 47-year-old female, a 3-month-old female, and a 51-year-old male.
The occupants hailed from Gillette, Wyoming.
The 45-year-old male driver of the Ford Focus was admitted to Medical Center of the Rockies with minor injuries.
The crash is currently being investigated.
