August 12th is one special day for car lovers, it being the grand day when the world’s largest car collector places its collection under the auctioneers hammer. RM Auctions, a reputed auctioneering house for Sports and Classics of Monterey would be putting up on sale cars from a company that have made a mark in the history of car manufacturing, that of Ford Motors. The most desired of the list would be the 1903 Ford Model – a Rear-Entry Tonneau and includes a 2004 Ford Mustang GT-R Concept.
As a tribute to the 40 years of the performance put up by Mustang the GT-R concept had been unveiled during the New York International Auto show held in April 2004. For this car RM Auction has slated a selling price of $250,000 – $350,000.
V8 engine that is fitted on the Ford’s OHC is the one that is fitted on the concept. The engine develops a total of 440 hp. For transmission it has a six speed TTC T-56 system. The concept has been inspired by the Grabber Orange that is the paint scheme of the 1970 Boss 302 Trans Am cars and therefore has a bright Valencia Orange paint for its exterior.
