Ford Thunderbird Owners Congregate Deaborn Meeting at Celebrate to Celebrate 55th Anniversary

The Ford headquarters is busy welcoming about 300 Ford Thunderbirds along with their owners who are on their way to Dearborn. This assembly is in the honour of the model’s 55th anniversary being celebrated with a special car show that will kick off at noon and run until 4 pm.

Jim Farley, Ford’s group vice president of Global Marketing has reported to have said, “The Ford Thunderbird is one of the most iconic products in the history of the automobile”. He further added, “Each generation of the Thunderbird had a unique personality that ushered in a new generation of breakthroughs in design or technology.”

The Ford Thunderbird began life in 1954 and in its 51 year lifespan, Ford has sold more than 4.3 million examples of the T-Bird. The Ford has presented a total of 11 generations of the model from 1954 through 2005 that includes two-seaters, roadsters, convertibles and four-door models, as well as hardtops and sedans. “Thunderbird” nameplate doesn’t seem to be revived in near future.
