Four dead after car crash in Caroline County

Four people were killed after a car crash in Caroline County, Maryland.

The crash took place on Wednesday around 9:05 a.m. on Route 404, when a Jeep driven by a 36-year-old identified as Vanity Lenetta Teagle, of Bridgeville was driving east when it drifted into the westbound lane of Route 404, striking head-on into a Toyota.

Three passengers in the Jeep, identified as Uneeki Iyana Espree Teagle, 17, and Nathan Henry Jr., 6, both of Bridgeville, and a 30-year-old female, were pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver and only occupant of the Toyota, identified as Marie Rosalia Granados, 40, of Seaford, died as well.

Two occupants of the Jeep were flown to Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore.

Police say another passenger in the Jeep was flown to R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center.

Maryland Route 404 was closed for 6 hours due to the crash.

Maryland State Police investigated the crash.
