Gatineau cops say they don’t mean to charge a 13-year-old girl after she took her parents automobile without authorization and crashed it into the side of a home early Saturday morning.

The incident took place prior to 1 a.m. at the crossway of Avenue de la Drave and Rue de Rouville.

Authorities said the girl lost control of the car, drove through a flower hedge and after that crashed into the house. They said alcohol and drugs were not an element.

Police stated the girl had friends in the vehicle, however would not specify the number or their ages.

The 13-year-old suffered small injuries.
