The next gen A8 limo from Audi labeled D4 was just unveiled before the closing of 2009 but tuning firms are starting to play with flagship sedan of the German car manufacturer and tinker with its setup to crank out some more power.
Hofele Design brings its dedicated 2011 A8 programmed to the Geneva Motor Show. The German tuning company has proposals to boost up some more performance for the engine variants of the Audi limo. The V8 with 4.2L displacement ups its 372 horsepower to 400 hp making the 0 to 100 km/h sprint down to 5.3 seconds from 5.7 seconds.
The TDI diesel version the A8 gets a bump from 350 horsepower to 390 hp. It can now blast from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.2 seconds compared to the stock’s 5.5 seconds.
Despite the performance upgrades, fuel mileage will still be the same.
Hofele will also include in the package a module for sport suspension kit that will let the driver lower the car by 4 to 8 centimeters. They also add high performance brakes with 6 calipers, and 4-pipe exhaust system.
The body kit of the Audi A8 will give it a cool new grille, bumpers, rear diffuser, spoiler, and rocker panels. The big 20 or 22 inch alloy rims completes the package. The 20 in wheels will be paired with 265/40 Zr20 high performance rubbers while the 22 will get some 265/30 ZR22.
Hofele Design will also give consumers some accessories for the interior like an R8 style steering wheel that has some carbon fiber elements coming with it.
