After what looks like forever, the United States will finally be getting the Honda Civic Type-R.
It has a 306-horsepower turbocharged engine, a slick hatchback body style and signature rear wing, the brand-new Type-R is set to be among the best Hondas yet. And it appears we finally understand how much Honda’s hatch will cost.
Earlier, the folks on civicx.com published an image of what looks to be a window sticker for a US Civic Type-R. The sticker exposes the car’s base price – $33,900 prior to destination – near the top right of the image.
Together with the sticker label picture, there are also a number of pictures of new Type-Rs sitting in a parking lot with delivery paint covers, leading us to think this is the genuine offer.
The $33,900 price would put the Type-R up against vehicles like the Subaru WRX STi and Volkswagen Golf R while slotting it below the more costly Ford Focus RS.
Although Honda hasn’t officially provided the pricing details on the Type-R, this new information looks pretty legit.
