HVM Status Pulls Out of World Endurance Championship as per report

HVM Status has made a shocking announcement to pull out of the upcoming World Endurance Championship, which was formerly known as European Le Mans Series, just ahead of its first race weekend next week at Silverstone.

This announcement was made after they failed to put together a budget suitable enough to contest the entire season of 2013 WEC. However, they are planning to continue to pursue opportunities to contest the 24 Hours of Le Mans in June.

As per the rules, the participation in 24 Hours of Le Mans is possible only if the teams participate in either the WEC or ALMS and HVM has not done that for either and so it will be difficult how they get access to this series without having complied with the rules.

HVM released a statement in which it stated that the HVM Status Lola-Judd B12/80 LMP2 entry and team were in place and ready to compete, but the final budget raised by the combined efforts of the team and potential drivers was not sufficient to race competitively for a full season.
