If you happen to be waiting for this year’s Chicago Auto Show to begin opening its doors for you, well, you will hardly have to wait for even one week. This auto expo, which is among the biggest in the world, is imminent. Yet, more details in respect to their upcoming vehicle models are rolling out of the mouth of the automakers around the world. This time, it is the turn for the South Korean automaker, Hyundai, to spill the beans on its upcoming vehicles planned for the aforementioned automotive exhibition event.
As reported by the Autoblog, the South Korean company will supposedly bring the new version of its Elantra GT model to the automotive exhibition event that will take place at the Windy City, Chicago. As its GT moniker may well imply, the vehicle should allegedly bring some high performance powertrain, at least more powerful than the standard, non GT, variant. Unfortunately, until this post is written, there have yet to be any more official details leaked in terms of what sort of engines that will be lying under the hood of the vehicle.
Nevertheless, a lot of people believe that it is more than likely for the upcoming Elantra GT from Hyundai to follow in the footsteps of the company’s i30 facelift model. Just as a kind reminder, the South Korean automaker introduced the latter just a year earlier.
If this report is to be believed, then there is quite a good chance that the car will feature minor visual styling upgrades. These visual styling upgrades will most likely include a new front grille shaped in the form of a hexagon. In addition to that, the car should also have its alloy wheels redesigned.
It turns out that the Hyundai Elantra GT will not be the only vehicle that the South Korean company will be unveiling at the 2015 Chicago Auto Show event. The company is known to be prepping another debut as well, yet this one is not as exciting as the Elantra GT. Thing is, the other debut is believed to be a special edition of the company’s Veloster yet again.
