Lee Iacocca is the man behind the Ford Mustang. Now he is getting his own special version of the legendary pony car. Iacocca Silver 45th Anniversary Edition Mustang marks 45 years of production for the legend and will be limited to just 45 cars.
Pricing will start at $89,950 making it the most expensive Mustang on the market.
The car is a collaborative effort by Mr. Lee Iacocca, designer Michael Leone, and Gaffoglio Family Metalcrafters. All cars will be sold through Galpin Ford.
Two engines are offered for this special edition. First one is a 4.6-liter Ford V8 producing 300 hp (or 320 hp with Ford Racing 85 mm cold air kit). The second one is a is a supercharged version with 400 hp. Both engines are mated to a short shifting 5-speed manual transmission.
Inside the Iacocca Silver Mustang, the interior is resplendent with luxurious touches that highlight the car’s special heritage, including Iacocca Diamond Design leather seats with embroidery stitching, an Iacocca signature dash plaque with serial number, a leather-wrapped steering wheel with “I” badge and Iacocca-badged aluminum door sill plates.
