For those who happen to be looking forward to the reveal of the F-Pace vehicle model from Jaguar, the British marquee has confirmed that the car will be making its debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show event September this year. This confirmation has come from Steven de Ploey, the global director for the British marquee, himself.
According to Ploey, the vehicle in question is now in its final development stage and it will be the first crossover ever from the company to go on sale next year. Ironically, the company will still be using the F-Pace moniker in spite of the many criticisms it has received so far. Well, before this, the car had also made quite a number of appearances in spy photo shots. In addition to that, there has even been an official teaser image released by the company in the hope of building up hypes for the model prior to its official unveiling in Frankfurt, Germany later this year.
The car will be coming with the company’s iQ[AI] chassis. Thus, the car will have a lot of similarities with the XF and XE models built by the British marquee. Customers will be able to expect a host of 4-cylinder Ingenium diesel and petrol engines. A range-topping SVR trim will allegedly be available as well with a 5.0L V8 supercharged engine, delivering 550 bhp and 680 Nm of power and torque. For customers looking for a slightly more affordable model, they can go for the S trim. This one is equipped with a 3.0L V6 supercharged engine that delivers 340 bhp and 450 Nm of power and torque.
Interestingly enough, there are also words about an upcoming fully electric model. This one is believed to have the ability to reach a total distance of 483 km on a single charge. This EV variant of the Jaguar F-Pace is most likely to come out somewhere around the year 2018.
