Wimmer Rennsporttechnik has recently developed a significant power boost for the KTM X-BOW GT.

Revealed at the Geneva Motor Show earlier this year, the X-BOW GT is based on the R version and makes use of an Audi-sourced inline-four, 2.0-liter turbocharged gasoline engine generating 285 HP (210 kW) and 420 Nm (310 lb-ft) of torque. But the tuner felt that there is a scope of improvement and so they have managed to increase the output to 435 HP (320 kW) and 500 Nm (369 lb-ft) of torque.

As a result of the increase in performance, the KTM X-BOW GT will now be able to achieve the 62 mph (100 kmph) sprint in just 3.3 seconds which is 0.9 seconds faster compared to the stock model and will be able to hit a top speed of 153 mph (246 kmph).

The boost to the performance has been possible by making changes such as remapping the engine’s ECU, installing a different turbocharger, a sports exhaust system, along with a new fuel pump, forged pistons and an H shaft rod. On the inside it boasts a new hand lever, leather-wrapped gear switch and comfort seats with orange seams.
