Callaway supercharges the Chevrolet SS to 570 bhp

by SpeedLux

Well known tuner Callaway has recently introduced a new tuning program that is based on the 2014 Chevrolet SS.

Designed to appeal to enthusiasts, the car comes equipped with a 6.2-liter V8 engine that has been fitted with a TVS supercharger, an intercooler and a high-flow intake system. Other highlights of the model include new fuel injectors and a “low restriction” exhaust.

Thanks to all these modifications, the engine is now able to generate an output of 570 hp (425 kW) and 535 lb-ft (724 Nm) of torque. This enables the sedan to achieve the print of 0-60 mph (0-96 kmph) in 4.5 seconds and will be able to run the quarter mile in around 12.4 seconds at speed of 110 mph (177 kmph).

Talking about the styling, there isn’t much to report as the only change that can be noticed in the model is a Callaway badging and embroidered floor mats. The car also comes fitted with special key fobs and authenticity documentation.

We have to say that the tuner has done a decent job with 2014 Chevrolet SS by increasing the performance but still we will have to wait and see what response it gets from the customers.
