There seems to be good news for loyal fans of the Land Rover, the luxury automaker from the land of the United Kingdom. The British marquee has officially revealed its plans to launch a new division – a heritage division, it is said. The plan has been announced during the currently lasting Techno Classica Show that is taking place in Essen, Germany.
This may remind some of the heritage division that Jaguar has recently launched as well. Well, Jaguar and Land Rover can be considered one company, after all. As in the case of the Jaguar Heritage division, the Land Rover Heritage division also has original parts to offer customers. These parts will prove to be particularly useful to those who own Land Rover branded vehicle that is no longer produced at present. It is said that at the division, customers will be able to find even parts for cars that have been out of production for over a decade. In addition to that, the British company has revealed that it will be readying supplies for the Land Rover Defender parts for another fifteen years.
If this heritage stuff sounds interesting to you, you may as well look forward to summer this year. It is the schedule when the British marquee will eventually launch the division in question. The launch will also give attendants to the event an opportunity to get behind the wheel of numerous classic vehicle models from the company. These lucky attendants will get to try the company’s Warwickshire test facility that measures no less than 200 acres wide in total.
John Edwards, the Managing Director of the Jaguar Land Rover Special Operations division, reveals that the company is delighted with the imminent launch of the aforementioned heritage division. He also adds that the reason the company is prepping such a division is because it believes that there is approximately 70% of vehicles made by the company still wandering around the streets of the world to date.
