Land Rover, an automaker that is based in the Great Britain, has officially taken the veil off its latest vehicle creation. Dubbed the Discovery Sport Launch edition, the car will most likely enter the 2015 Palm Springs Modernism Week.
Judging by a number of official images released by the automaker regarding the said vehicle model, this new edition of the Land Rover with aluminum paddle shifters, to begin with. In addition to that, the car also with sill plates finished in bright paint, ebony leather seats, monochrome Union jack fuel filler cap and stainless steel pedals. It turns out that there is even an exclusive design available for customers to purchase. This will add a number of new elements to the vehicle, including what it calls the Black Design Package and the Young White Metallic paint hue for the exterior of the vehicle.
The car will reportedly count on a 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo engine. Mated to a four-wheel-drive (4WD) drivetrain as well as a 9-speed automatic gearbox, the engine should be able to provide its owners/drivers with no less than 240 bhp and 338 Nm of power and torque, respectively. Unfortunately, the British automaker actually has yet to either officially approve or reject this information so far.
What is known up to this very moment is that there will only be 250 examples of the Land Rover Discovery Sport Launch Edition up for grabs. As for the price tag of the vehicle, it will most likely begin at $48,975 for customers in the US market. This starting price already includes handling charge, which totals $925. At least, that is what the USA division of the British automaker points out so far.
