The Opel Automobile Company’s performance manager Wilfred Dieh confirms that the Opel Astra OPC will be released in 2017, with 280 bhp 1.6 liter turbo engine. After the regular variant, the next generation Astra OPC will be on the road in the year, 2017, says the performance variant manager of Opel. The sports car will drop the four-cylinder gasoline turbocharged engine 2.0 liter. The new model next generation Astra OPC is going to be lighter than the traditional 1,475 KG car. The new Opel Astra OPC is going to lose about 150 KG. This is because of the lightweight components for the new model Opel Astra car.

The Opel has not yet decided about the units it is going to release. However, it is certainly believed that the company is going with the idea of making 100 units of the latest next generation Astra Opel OPC. The output of the vehicle will be higher than the present model Astra OPC, which was introduced in the Paris Auto Show. The present Opel car is with 277 bhp, while the new car will have 280 bhp. However, people can learn about the newly designed Astra OPC, when it completes all the formalities and procedures, which are required for a new launch.
