Lexus CT200h F-Sport – New Hybrid: Info and Specs

by Zack Colt

One of the most commited to the concept of hybrid companies in the world, Toyota, which has 75% of the gas-electric vehicles currently on the road, primarily in the form of the Toyota Prius, has decided to launch an even more bold project, the Lexus CT200h F-Sport.
The advanced Lexus Hybrid Drive system that features a unique energy management system paired with a four-cylinder gas engine powers the CT 200h. Lexus opted to go with an Atkinson-cycle engine design to fully maximize the system’s high efficiency and compatibility with hybrid operation in the CT 200h.
The engine comes with a 3.17-inch bore diameter and 3.48-inch stroke with a high compression ratio of 13.0:1.Even though the engine is capable of producing an output of 98 horsepower on its own, the combination with the two-motor hybrid drive motor, derives a 134 horsepower strength with a 0-60 mph time of 9.8 seconds.
Besides that, the new hybrid model is equipped with an optional F-Sport Package that comes from the company’s own F Sport Performance accessories. Within this package, the CT200h will receive an F Sport-tuned suspension, a new front grille with a mesh pattern, metal front scuff plates, leather shift knob, aluminum sport pedals, a set of 17″ wheels with high-gloss finish, a perforated leather steering wheel, metallic trim on the dash panel, and a choice between Black NuLuxe trimmed seats or perforated black leather-trimmed seats.
With an interiour and a performance such impressing, the exteriour of the car could not dissapoint the standard that has allready reached. Compared with the previous model, the grille has been pushed forward off the headlamps to give a greater visual integration with the bumper mid-section, Headlamp clusters – piercing, single halogen or optional twin LED low beam lamps with arrowhead-shaped LED daytime running lamps – flank the grille and are positioned on a higher plane, maling this luxury hybrid worth of it’s notoriety and high-standard.
The word on pricing goes around that it shall cost $35,000, due to the new F-Sport Package, that the previous model did not have. But nothing official regarding this matter has appeared yet, so we shall be wwaitin for some more exact information.
