There is this rumour that Mazda is coming out with its Mazda 6 Coupe in the year 2014, this car is targeted at the Audi A5, with a stylish three-door coupe, also an MPS model is also in their plans.

The image below clearly states the Mazda‘s design turning that into a Coupe, with the car’s “wing” grille design still prominent in its place, which gives the car an Muscular look, and this car is supposedly to join the saloon and the Tourer Estate, making itself position at 3rd number in the 6’s family. At the Moscow Motor Show in August, program manager Hiroshi Kajiyama said that, “The CX-5 heightened the brand position. This car (the 6) has to raise it further again.

The reports claim that the new Mazda 6 may have the current 173bhp 2.2-litre turbodiesel in the Sport, and that helps the car to do an 0-62mph sprint in 7.8 seconds, or a turbo version of the new SkyActiv-G 2.0-litre petrol engine with the setup delivering around 260HP, but they also say that the MPS model could heat up the whole unit to deliver more horses. And the original 6 MPS, was launched way back in 2006, and it featured a 2.3-litre turbocharged petrol engine with 257bhp and four-wheel drive.

The Mazda 6 Coupe will arrive some time in 2014, with the MPS following a few months later. As of now stay tuned more details.
