The latest form of modern Japanese martial art, “The way of the Sword,” has been the inspiration behind the naming of the MX-5 Kendo. The MX-5 Kendo in turn is the latest special edition model that Mazda is releasing to mark its 900,000 car produced since the first one was made in 1989. The MX-5 Kendo would be available from the 1st of March in the UK market for which it has been made. There would be two forms that the car comes in. At £19,255 there would be the MX-5 1.8i Kendo soft top variant and at £22,320 there would be the more powerful version of the MX-5 2.0i model which is a roadster coupe variant.
The interior of both cars are a unique Stone Leather make up having colored stitching on the steering wheel gear knob and handbrake which match the interior. Wheels are 17 inch alloy, bespoke and has exterior badging and floor mats, plus front fog lamps, heated seats, brushed aluminium style-bar trim as well as aluminium pedals.
The roadster version comes with a BOSE audio system installed; it also has Bluetooth hands-free and cruise control. Customers could also opt for taking the car with a Sparkling Black or Dolphin Grey mica paint finish and there are no extra charges levied for this option.
