It seems that Mercedes-Benz, for a reason we are not familiar with yet, has decided to let Andreas Würz, a foreman in the technical vocational training department, to create the “Hulk” version of the B-series: a B 55 with a V8 engine in the front and with traction on the rear wheels.
Along with Matthias Reiger from the electrics/electronics installation department, Andreas Würz created a concept car that has the same interior comfort of the standard B-Class, only a little improved in order to handle the huge power under the bonnet. The car features an engine based on the B200 CDI, an impressive 5.5 l V8 that develops 388 BHP and 530 Nm of torque mated to a 7-speed automatic transmission.
But that much power must be sent to the blacktop very carefully: the car has a rear axle from an older W 210 series E-Class, the brakes from a C32 AMG. That means that the car has perforated and internally ventilated disc brakes in size 345 x 34 mm at the front and perforated and internally ventilated disc brakes in size 300 x 30 mm at the rear. The car also has new 18-inch AMG wheels wrapped in high performance tires.
In order to cope with all that power the car has been fitted with coil-over suspension by K&W. This is usually a tuner’s item, but for this car, it is more than necessary. On the inside, the car has many Alcantara trims and a roof liner. The seats are also leather/Alcantara and are provided by Johnson Controls (the company that will acquire Recaro). The car weights just 1620 Kg, only 180 Kg more than the standard car.

WOW…
It would be great when it smokes some of the souped up cars at a traffic light.
