Images of the concept car that would be the stepping stone for the next generation A-Class Mercedes Benz have finally been released. The A-Class and B-Class are intended to attract the youth to their cars, as per Mercedes themselves. With its aggressive lines and design specially aimed at the desires of the younger generation the A-Class would be seen at the Shanghai auto Show come April in its concept form.
The F800 concept would have a close similarity in looks and design to the A-Class concept. The power units for both the cars which are in the smaller model segment can be expected to be internal combustion and hydrogen based electric drive units. This is as per announcement earlier on by Mercedes though nothing seems to be confirmed as of now.
There is great likelihood of the drive train which is a fuel cell and electric combination one which is at present fitted in the B-Class models, three of them, would be extended to the A Class model also in future. There is also a possibility of the ICE engines in its hybrid format to be also put into the act by Mercedes.
