Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren Black Arrow from Edo Competition is capable of 722HP

The SLR McLaren was considered a reverend one before it was phased out and replaced by the SLS AMG Gullwing aptly labeled the impressive one. The SLR McLaren however continues to hold the interest and intent of the tuning firms as yet. Black Arrow is one that the famed tuning firm Edo Competition has come out with of the SLR McLaren.

The package that the team at Edo Competition under their leader and owner Edo Karabegovic have come up with gives the car a flat black coating and an overdose of red livery making it a stealthy looking car. The car is set upon 21 inch alloy wheels which have a red ring and shod in high performance sport tires. The exhaust tailpipes is of new design and of carbon trim.

The dashboard is made up of carbon fiber and so in the center console and door panels. Otherwise the interior is a mix of black leather and alcantara. There are the devices like a phone, a new custom infotainment system with navigation, TV and iPod integration and a parking camera, installed in the car.

For engine the car is fitted with a V8 engine whose supercharger has been modified and the ECU been remapped. There are also certain parts like a revised intake system, high flow catalytic converters and air filters and new exhaust headers which improves performance of the engine to 722 hp at 7,100 rpm and 890 Nm or 656 lb ft of torque.

Acceleration capabilities of the Black Arrow reads 3.4 seconds for the 0 to 100 kmph or 62 mph sprint. It takes 24.5 seconds to touch 300 kmph. Top sped of the modified car is electronically limited 345 kmph or 214 mph.
