Mercedes sells their one millionth B-Class

Recently great news has come from Mercedes when they announced that they have sold over one million B-Classes since the model was first launched way back in 2005.

While the model doesn’t appeal to enthusiasts, the MPV is relatively popular in countries like Germany and China. As Mercedes explains, the B-Class is particularly appealing to fleet customers, active seniors and families with children.

The petrol and diesel variants of the B180 are the most popular ones and represent nearly 30 percent of all B-Class models sold which is quite significant. Furthermore, nearly half of all new B-Classes now come equipped with either a navigation or infotainment system inside the cabin.

Mercedes Sales and Marketing boss Ola Källenius said that the B-Class is the perfect combination of sporty design, impressive driving dynamics and incomparable driving comfort. And this was the reason what makes it so popular with the customers.

Well we have to say that it is actually an amazing achievement to sell 1 M models in a gap of just around 8 years. Well done Mercedes and hope the company scales more such achievements in future.
