Mini Cooper Soho – Photos and Specs

The Mini Cooper Soho is a special edition of the already famous Mini Cooper S. While the mechanics of the car haven’t changed at all, the outside gets a new extra kit and a new paint style.

As I said, the engine hasn’t changed from Mini’s previous model. The Soho still features a four cylinder 1.6-liter naturally aspirated petrol engine that delivers 120 horsepower, or a 1.6 liter Turbodiesel engine that only produces 110 horsepower. The power for such an engine is about average, and so is the acceleration: 0 to 60 in 9,1 seconds. The Soho hits a top speed of 126 mph.  Nevertheless, the fuel economy is great: 74 mpg and 99g/km CO2 emissions (with the Cooper D oil-burner, the standard version goes 44mpg).

As stated before, the exterior is the only thing that has changed in the new Mini Cooper. This version gets a new White Silver color scheme and 17in Black Star Bullet alloys, Bi-Xenon headlights, leather sports steering wheel and plusher interior. Consequently, the new Soho is just a paint’n’kit job.

Although this car is by no means a rich man’s car, it’s still pretty fun to drive, and doesn’t come at a high price either. The base cost price of the Mini Cooper Soho starts at $26,000.
