Mitsubishi Launches the L200 Challenger in UK

For those who are looking for a pick-up truck, they may as well take into consideration this new offering from Mitsubishi. The Japanese automaker has officially launched a new pick-up truck model, namely the L200 Challenger. The Japanese company claims that this is the best pick-up truck money can buy, at least in the long list of vehicles that the company has ever produced so far. Well, perhaps Mitsubishi has a point there. After all, the truck in question does come with quite a few modern and very useful features.

As Mitsubishi points out in its press release in regards to the details of the vehicle, features like a privacy glass, wipers with rain sensors, 17-inch alloy wheels and automatic headlamps will all come standard on the said vehicle. Meanwhile, when the car owner steps into the cabin, he will find a comfortable steering wheel wrapped in fine leather material, cruise control, air conditioners with climate control, Bluetooth capable multi information display (MID) panel and even leather seats, albeit the latter is optional.

In its press release, Mitsubishi also makes sure to mention what kind of powertrains its new pick-up truck will have under its hood. Well, as it turns out, the vehicle will receive its power from a 2.5L turbocharged diesel engine. According to the Japanese automaker, this engine will be combined with the company’s so-called Super Select 4WD drivetrain as well as a 5-speed manual transmission. The engine will have a total power output of 175 hp and a total torque of 400 Nm.

The Mitsubishi L200 Challenger is now already available in the UK for £16,499. For that kind of money, Mitsubishi claims that buyers will benefit not only from owning such a capable pick-up truck but also from the longest warranty ever for a pick-up truck, at least in the UK. The company is giving either a 5-year warranty or a warranty for a distance of up to 125,000 miles, whichever comes first.
