Few vehicles over past three decades have garnered much respect in America so as Honda Accord. New Honda Accord is highly accomplished saloon and estate, blessed with the Honda’s usual bombproof build quality and little bit more flair than previous models. But it is a bit pricey for Honda. In comfort it is impressively refined and insulated from engine and wind noise, Accord rides quite hard, like so many Japanese cars are used to better road surfaces. It’s not much a deal breaker, but worth being aware of. Performance of two petrol and one diesel engine available in Accord, none is a bad apple. They are all quiet, punchy and economical to boot. Diesel would be our choice, with comparable acceleration and vastly better returns at pumps.

Current Accord is bigger than the previous models and boasts the better engine performance without any loss of fuel the efficiency. It is available as mid size coupe or sedan and in variety of trim levels to suit almost any of the buyer’s needs.  Base of 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine makes 177 horsepower; and an upgraded version of this engine available on the EX trims makes 190 hp. For more power, 271-hp, 3.5-liter V6 available. Four-cylinder engine has five-speed manual transmission as standard and five-speed automatic as optional. And V6 typically comes with five-speed automatic, though V6-equipped coupes are available with the six-speed manual.

The latest Honda Accord continues to be satisfying family sedan or mid-size coupe, despite the facts that many rivals have caught up in the recent years. Interior is very roomy and high in the quality, though some might take issues with car’s multitude of buttons on dash. Compared with some Accords of past, the latest model is less sporty to drive, and also has elevated road noise and mediocre brakes. Nonetheless, it still offers usual Accord strengths of crash worthiness, reliability and the comfort.
